What is Web 2.0?

BBC reports on Web 2.0 and its eventual relationship with the dotcom bubble. According to the article, big amounts of money are now being avished “on innovative net start-ups playing around with Web 2.0 technology”. The cases of Youtube or MySpace take the journalist to think that we might be living a revival of the bubble. Is it possible?

He asks that question to several experts… and these are the conclusions:
– Invest in companies creating platforms, such as Skype
– Invest in companies that have developed large communities of people that create free content of tools, such as TopTable or NetVibes

Tim Berners-Lee said it best: “I think Web 2.0 is of course a piece of jargon, nobody even knows what it means”.

People like buzzwords. Do people like marketing-bubbles?
Start-Ups show really old-fashioned things in a new light to get money from investors for futureless projects. How sad…

hi guys, congratulations for the project,
but your site is very poor and userunfriendly, sorry

it’s a simple copy/paste of Pligg and the “most voted” feature doesn’t work ;(

    I wish you good luck,
but next time, please spend a bit more time and resources to build the project’s platform.
