Spain’s Government funds projects in “Additive Manufacturing” and “Connected Industry 4.0”

Spain’s Government has included “Additive Manufacturing” and “Connected Industry 4.0” among the technology projects that it is funding this year. Internet of Things and High Performance Computing were already included since last year. 15 million euros will be available in subsidies and 45 million in loans for interested companies.

This is what Spain’s Government wants to promote in terms of additive manufacturing:
– Modelling software that helps deciding if something can be printed, save money in materials or compare quality.
– Innovative 3D printing processes.

As of Connected Industry 4.0 projects, they have to combine two of more of the following technologies: IoT, Robotics, 3D Printing and Big Data analytics.
