The World’s main Smart Manufacturing Cities… according to PwC

PwC has prepared, for Paris-Ile de France Capitale Economique, a report on 10 Smart Manufacturing Cities. It explains which are their strenghts and weaknesses and classifies all of them according to several criteria. I am missing, though, Munich or the Basque Country in this selection.

– Paris IdF
– Seoul, which is called “Robot City”
– Bangalore, called “Engineer City”
– Shenzen, called “Chip and Cheap” as it’s become a huge chip manufacturing base
– Detroit, the “Motor City” claiming back its leadership of the auto industry
– Turin, called “smart factory” and headquarters of Fiat
– Toronto
– Helsinki, the “open data city”
– Stuttgart
– London, more focused on fintech than smart manufacturing
