Jury

Jury 2012

The jury of Startup 2.0 is formed by European VCs, founders, editors, bloggers and other specialists in the Web 2.0, mobile and computing gaming technologies.

Their decisions are taken by majority of votes and based on: business sense and growth expectations, innovation, degree of competition in their market, quality of the presentation and, in its case, the video sent to the contest and team.


  • Alexis Bonte

    Co-founder & CEO at eRepublik Labs, he has also been chairman at Triluliu, co-founder of Eurobuysell tradeok.com, managing director at livra.com and at lastminute.com. He was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader in 2012.

  • Gianluca Dettori

    Gianluca Dettori

    Founder and CEO of Dpixel, a venture capital advisory firm, his goal is to seed and early stage financing and advisory for Internet & high tech industry startups in Europe. He was also Founder and CEO at Vitaminic.


  • Nicolas Gaume

    Co-Founder & CEO at Mimesis Republic, he is also board member at Mobygames and Enjmin and president at France’s National Video Games Syndicate (SNJV). He’s also been managing director at Lagardere Games, Ubi Soft, Kalisto and NGM Productions.


  • Mo Jen

    Formerly the owner of Brickmistress Music and Sound Design in Los Angeles, she relocated to the UK to work as the Audio Director for Zoonami and now for Playfish (Electronic Arts).


  • Stephanie Kaiser

    Addicted to building games for non-gamers, she is Product Lead at Wooga, the second biggest developer of social games worldwide. While Stephanie still cares a lot about her Monster World, she is currently working on top-secret unannounced games.

  • Arda Kutsa

    Arda Kutsal

    Founder and editor of Webrazzi, the most popular Turkish Web 2.0 blog. He is also Founder and General Manager of the management, strategy and marketing consultancy company, Crenvo Consultancy.


  • Matt Martin

    Matt Martin joined GamesIndustry in 2006 and was made editor of the site in 2008. With over ten years experience in journalism, he has written for multiple trade, consumer, contract and business-to-business publications in the games, retail and technology sectors.


  • Mircea Pasoi

    After founding several startups and selling Summify to Twitter, this engineer from Bucharest is currently Technical Lead at Twitter.


  • Kevin Slavin

    Co-founder of social game developer Area/Code (acquired in 2011 by Zynga), Starling and AFK, he sometimes teaches at NYU/ITP, Cooper Union, Fabrica, etc.


  • Gonzo Suárez

    Son of a movie director, he created “Commandos”, a stealth-oriented real-time tactics game series, back in 1998. He is now developing a new computer game and has become vicepresidente of Spain’s Academy of Interactive Sciences.
